I am looking for ancestral info on KARL FAHRNER b. 1905 of Oberthal, GR - He was my granduncle. He was married to my maternal grandmother's twin sister LOIS RIEFLER b 6/16/05 in Eden, Erie Co., NY. I don't have marriage date handy. they had no children. He was an accomplished skier and businessman. Apparently he spent some time in Utah as well. When I was a kid (early 1970s) we visited their home at Cuba Lake near Erie Co, NY. was beautiful house & location. They later retired to Arizona and both are now deceased. I know he had some family (niece & nephew at least) in Germany as they were visiting from Germany same time we visited from VA. The teenage German 'cousins' did not speak English & we didn't speak German. I was very young at the time- I think the girls name was Fronie or something like that.
I am interested to find out if anyone can point me in the right direction to find out who Uncle Karl Fahrner's ancestors & family in Germany were/are.

for further reference ...
This info is from Ellis Island site: First Name: Karl Last Name: Fahrner Ethnicity: German, German
Last Place of Residence: Weiher Oberthal, Germany
Date of Arrival: Nov 16, 1924 Age at Arrival: 18y Gender: M Marital Status: S Ship of Travel: Deutschland (1923) Port of Departure: Hamburg
Manifest Line Number: 0016
The actual record says he referenced, under "Whether going to join a relative or friend" column, his aunt Mary Hartenstein of Talmadge, Abeline, KS
this Ellis Island record also shows under column for place of birth that he told them Weither, Obertal, Germany.
Thanks to anyone that can help me
