Please contact me now at rjsides@comcast.net. I am still looking for the relative who stowed away with Thomas Fagan when they left on one of the coffin ships in 1847. Mom claims they took the place of sick family members; however, she also claims that they hid on the boat and had to work their way across. While onboard, they met someone who told them how good the land in Missouri was for farming. They headed there. However, I find Thomas Fagan mentioned first only in the tax rolls in 1865.
