Yesterday morning at about 6 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs Catherine Fadden, wife of Michael Fadden of Vine Street.Deceased was about 50 years of age, and until a few weeks ago enjoyed robust health and was quite active attending to her household duties when she was attacked with pneumonia, which resulted in her death.Mrs Fadden was one of the most respected members of the town, untiring in her devotion to the church and family circle.She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mary, Sarah, Frank, John, Leo, Edward and Mrs John Cole.She was a member of the Ladies Catholic Beneficiat Association and is the first member the Society lost.The funeral will take place tomorrow morning with a requiem mass at St Mary's Church.Interment in St Mary's Cemetery.No carriages.

The funeral of Mrs Fadden took place yesterday morning with a requiem mass at St Mary's Church; Rev JG McCabe being celebrant. He also preached an impressive sermon.At the offertory, Mrs EJ Gilroy beautifully rendered the Ave Marie.The L.C.B.A. Society, of which the deceased had been a member, attended in a body. A floral emblem, representing the insignia of the society was carried by John Gilhooley and Thomas Sullivan.The pall bearers were James McGlynn, Patrick Hennigan, Peter Connor, Timothy Mulrooney, Michael Cannon, John Ryder.The cortege was an unusually large one, among whom were friends from Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.Interment was made in St Mary's Cemetery.
