Brenda,I have a lot of info on Timothy,but it is too much for me to get in to you at this one sitting.It is in a published document compiled from data contributed by Christine W. Sheldon Topeka, KansasIn it they refer to corrections and additions.Cf. HISTORICAL SOUTHERN FAMILIES, Vol. V pp. 265-275.Extracts from Surry Co. Court Records, microfilm from the Mormon Library.Also referenced is Cavaliers and Pioneers, p. 336, by Nugent:William and Mary Quarterly, Vol. 2, p.81.The will of Amaro DeTores, dated 14,July, 1677, proved in Surry Court in Sept,. 1677 and recorded 18 Oct. 1677, in which he makes bequests to "Mary Broatherson (sic) (Broatherton Bradenton, Broad, Dotson-her surname has been read by several different people, and each person gave a different interpretation)" .......to Timothy Israell a sow;to Michael Israell, a sow."He requests that "Timothy Israell Sr. be my sole executor of my goods and chattels", and named as his wife, "Mary".The Court "granted Tim Essell a sow on the wil of Amaro DeToris, signed at Southwick Parish by Mr. Caufield and ______ Allen 7br. (Sept?) 18, 1677."
