WC "Spike" Ezell

WC “Spike” Ezell, 82, Peppermint Drive, died at 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Green Hill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Kinnith Morris officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Stewart County, Tenn., he was born April 12, 1927, the son of the late Floyd and Pearl James Ezell.
He was a farmer and was well-known as a member of gospel quartets, including the Ambassadors Quartet, the Little River Boys, Melody Masters and the Churchmen.
He was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Caledonia.
Survivors include three sons, Roger Ezell, Gracey, Mike Ezell, Princeton, Neil Ezell, Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Genie Ezell Gray, Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, James Boyd Ezell, Carthage, Tenn., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Christian County Humane Society or to Pennyroyal Hospice.
