Rites For 82-Year-Old Citizen Hel Monday Afternoon
Tom Henry Ezell Passed away at 4:10 o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 17 at his home on the South Road following a lingering illness of several months.
Early last Spring he suffered a broken hip which caused him to be confined to a whell chair for some time, but he later recovered enough to be up and around the home.On July 25 he fell from his front porch and broke his right hip.He received treatment at Trigg County Hospital, but was taken back to his home last week.
Mr. Ezell was born February 9, 1879.On October 8, 1890 he was married to Katie Idell Stone, who survives him.There were three children born of this union, one daughter having preceded her father in death.One daughter, Mrs. Will Stonum and one son, Luther Ezell, survive.Other survivors are:17 grandchildren;20 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Mae Reynolds of Hopkinsville.
Funeral services were conducted at the graveside by Rev. J. N. Darnall and burial was made in the Boren graveyard in the southern part of the county (Trigg), with A. K. Goodwin in charge.
He was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Joe Lacy Lancaster, Durwood Moore,, Boyd Stonum, Cecil Barnett, (Louella Stone Barnett's son),
Flowergirls were Mrs. Boyd Stonum, Mrs J. Lacy Lancaster, Miss Virginia Ezell, Mrs. Durwood Moore, Mrs. McKenzie Randolph, Mrs. Howard Taylor and Miss Louise Carr.
