Ezell's of Middle TN 1800's
I have seen several interesting posts of late on the Wm. Desaix Ezell line here in middle TN and I wondered if anyone here would happen to have information on my direct lineage...I've got the line from George (or Gregor) McGregor Ezell forwards till 1858 (Mary Rose Ezell dau. of Wm D. Ezell) married into the Davidson family.
I have typed my lineage out below, and have some questions:
1) Did anyone in my direct lineage join the Confederacy?
2) Would any Ezell researcher have information on the Davidson connection? I've not been able to find any information on my Davidson line...esp. as it was a common name in DAVIDSON Co., TN at the time! ;-)
3) Does anyone know where all the French names in the family come from? They seem interspersed with Brittish names as well...which is quite interesting.
Here's my lineage:
