One of the direct male descendants of Adam Eyre (1771) you are looking for is William (c1862). He does not show up in the Lewis Eyre family in the Highland Co, Ohio census in either 1870 or 1880 although all of the other male children you mention do (along with the unmentioned female children so far born). Interestingly, the 1870 census shows Cecelia as wife and all of the children with her, while the 1880 census shows Elizabeth as wife and all children with Celia plus the three additional daughters with Elizabeth. Is your William (c1862) an error or if not, what evidence do you have for this son who is MIA in the two census in his parents' family?

By the way, Lewis and Cecelia's son Edward Eyre (b1865) is my great grandfather via daughter Lillian. I have just recently become enamored with genealogy. I'll be glad to send you what I find on the descendants of Edward and any other Eyres I end up working on.

My name is Frank Carter and I am an empty nester living in a Chicago suburb. The postings I have found from you (both directly and indirectly) are quite impressive and the best web resources I have found on the Eyres.

Best regards, Frank
