I possess a death certificate for a Richard Eyre of Sookholme, England who died on September 16, 1879. He is listed as 73 years old, a farmer and the witnesss was Joseph Allcroft of Sookholme.
Family story describes Richard Eyre as a wealthy farmer who ended up losing much of his income when his cattle was exposed to a form of hoof and mouth disease.
Currently have no information on his spouse, children or parents. Certificate came down through family via the Allcroft connection.
Seeking possible connection to other Eyre families of Sookholme, Mansfield, Mansfield-Woodhouse or Warsop.
