Desperate for help

Hi everyone,

I had a genealogy book that listed my paternal grandfather back to his grandfather and my paternal grandmother WAY on back. All that information is lost due to a buglary. My immediate family is not close so I don't have a way to get info via them.

Let me work backwards and hopefully someone can match up..

-- Me
-- Dad (middle of 3 sons - him & older brother born in N.J., whole family moved to Des Plaines, IL in early 1943.)
-- Grandpa - James Arthur Eyre (b. 1910 New York (?), d. 1985 Des Plaines, IL)
-- G-Grandpa - Arthur Eyre (I believe) - came to U.S. from Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. His 1st cousin was Josie Neary (d. 1996) who lived in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland and her sister lives in Canada (might be dead now).

Now, Arthur was married to an Englishwoman who was from either Yorkshire or Lincolnshire and died in Illinois I think in the late 1970's (she was still alive when I was born - I was born 1973). I can not remember her name for the life of me.

I hope someone recognizes these people. I live below poverty here in NC (barely able to keep utilities on and such) and can NOT afford to send away for documents at all. Though, I am going to try and get Grandpa's (James A.) death certificate and hopefully it will have Arthur's name and his wife's name and county of England origin (*shrugs*). I have never seen a death certificate, so I am not certain how much of the parent's information is on it.

Thanks in advance,
Barbara Eyre
