Boy! You said a mouthful when you said there are many Robert EYREs! No one has found "our" Robert EYRE's parents in some 130 years of searching for them. I still haven't found "any" documentation of the birthdate everyone has always credited as his much less "any" documentation of where he really came from. In fact, I've found "no" documentation of his existence prior to his arrival in Pennsylvania c1682/83. It does appear from early Chester cnty Court documents that he was acquainted w/his future father in law, Francis SMITH, before Robert's arrival in this country which indicates he most likely was from Wiltshire, England but that is as close as it gets. I haven't as yet found any documentation that Francis SMITH was truly from Devizes rather than just from the "Devizes area".

George is not a name that runs in the descendents of "my" Robert EYRE. Not that that is any strong indication that George EYRE and Elizabeth BALGY aren't his parents but it does kind of reduce the odds a bit. Robert, William and John are the most common given names amongst "my" Robert EYRE's descendants, but you would expect Robert to be and so far since all of "my" Robert's known descendants come down thru his youngest son, Williiam, you would also expect William to be a common given name in the family. My Robert's three sons were Robert, William and Francis. Robert was the oldest and Francis is always listed last but William always said to be the youngest. I've found no documentation of Francis EYRE as a son of "my" Robert EYRE. I do have documentation of Robert and William being his sons. I have found documentation of his two daughters, Jane and Ann.

Sorry I couldn't be more help in answering your question but its the best I can do through documented sources.
