Could you be confused about the Croker? John Eyre recovered seizin of his lands in :Urchfont, of Wedhampton in that parish, and maried Eleanor, possibly Eleanor Ann, dau and heiress of John Crooke, of Urchfont, Wilts. But the problem with this is that it is before 1450. Nonetheless, this line of Eyre is Wedhampton through at least 1571, with John Eyre of Wedhampton and Great Chalfield marrying Anne Tropnell in something like 1571. From this line of Eyre comes Christopher, one of the founders of the East India Company.
