Eyre Family Genealogy Forum

I am in the US so I haven't had to research EYREs in Australia. But yes, I've had some luck connecting in the UK. One can't expect to have their entire genealogy handed to them on a silver platter via one or two queries. Unfortunately, we all have to hunker down and DIG for information on our ancestors and along the way we occasionally get lucky and find someone who has a little more information than we do on a particular line of our family. But it even takes digging to connect w/those people. Have you tried searching at http://wwww.familysearch.com. Especially the IGI searches. Check the source: offical records or patron submission? Go for the official sources. Use the patron submissions only as clues and leads, not as gosple. Have you tried the free searches as ancestry.com? Have you subscribed (free) to any of the Aussie lists at rootsweb? There will be other Aussies researching who will have knowledge and experience of what records are to be found where. Relax and enjoy being your own best detective. Hunker down for the long haul. Start w/your own parents and grandparents: birth, death and marriage certificates. Good luck and happy searching.
