I am Lorraine Aubert Eyraud, responding to your request sent to my daughter, Annette.

The name Eyraud is very common in France and many Eyraud families claim no relationship to each other. Our family is from La Motte en Champsaur in France. There are other Eyraud families in that area not related to us. If you were to write to their archive center in Gap, France, perhaps they could help you.

Also, you might try the World War I draft registration information website.

Also, there were some Eyrauds living in Yakima, Washington, in the sheep business that we knew, but are all deceased now. Living in Yakima was an Eva Eyraud Robert and she had a brother, I'm sure of his name, something like Emile, a very quiet person, short and stocky.

Also, my father (Aubert) was a sheepman and, if he were alive, could give much information about the sheepherders.

Hope this helps some. Good Luck
