Gregg: I really don't have any good information to help you know where William Henry Harrison might have come from. I have data similar to that which you're sharing, and perhaps we have sourced similar assumptions. The notes I have leave open the possibility of William and Mary coming from IA or Ohio. I have very rough notes on one patch of Imans who seem to have migrated to Ashland of Ohio about 1845, where the family bought 160 acres for $3300. Jacob Eyman of about 1796-1798 Kindenheim appears in the genealogy of Peter Eyman of 1864. He first married a cousin, Anna Eyman, who died, and secondly married Maria Krehbiel, who died in about 1857 in Ashland. My notes suggest that Jacob had two sons by the name of Jacob.. one by Anna who seems to have died, and one by Maria, in about 1839, who migrated. I have a little, but quite scant information about these Eymans if it would be helpful to you. There were obviously other Eymans around. After 1820, Peter Eyman, who I believe to be the brother of the Abraham who came to Illinois about 1796, and who married the sister of Abraham's wife, headed into Ohio from Hardy of VA in about 1810. Peter had a son by the name of Jacob in about 1798, but married a Phoebe Hopkins and remained in Fayette County of Ohio. Since the second generation from Peter was being born about 1820, your Jacob might have been born in that generation, but no such name appears in fairly well established lines. Henry, the old patriot of the revolutionary war, and young son of Ulrich also took his family into Fairfield of Ohio, but your Jacob doesn't seem to appear down the lines of that tree. Henry and Mary Bryan's only son, Henry Bryan Eyman is not known to have a Jacob, though of course an awful lot of Eymans did! The Illinois Eymans had a number of Jacobs, and were of course prolific. I have a moderate list, though it doesn't suggest quick candidates for your father for William Henry Harrison, though that name... William Henry Harrison... certainly does not strike one as the moniker of a little Krehbiel product (no offfense!) -- and certainly does remind one of some of the names down the generations from Abraham and Susannah where there was a lot of mixing with McGuires & McClintocks and names like "Horation William, John Alexander, Joseph Warren", etc. In looking down this tree, I do remember having noted some possible marriages or relationships between these Eymans and some of Ohio, though I can't spot those ties right now. Any information you might have about family interlinks, or religious leanings might be helpful. Care and appreciation, Steve Iman Notify Administrator about this message?
