I received some information from the National Archives on Samuel Eyman (7 Feb 1832 - 17 Sept 1916) He was honorably discharged from the service of the United States in the Civil War at Camp Dennison, Ohio 18 June 1863 for diptheria and heart disease. A physcial description: 5'9" black hair, dark complexion and gray eyes. He started receiving a pension at age 79 via the Act of May 11, 1912 which entitled veterans to a pension.
Was hoping for more info, but that's about all. He lived all his life in Fayette County and lived in Wayne Twp when he filed for the pension.
