I believe that there is an Eyles coat of arms as follows: Argent, a fesse engrailed sable, in chief three fleur-de-lis of the last. I believe that means a silver shield with a broad black horizontal stripe with scalloped edges, and three black fleur-de-lis above the stripe. I do not know to which Eyleses this coat of arms pertains, but would be curious to know.
My own oldest known Eyles ancestor, as identified by my late father who was our genealogist, was a Joshua Eyles who emigrated to America at around the time of the American Revolution. Any information about him would be very welcome.
