Certificate of emigration
"This is given to show that the honorable citizen, George Martin Augenstein and his family immigrated to North America. George Martin Augenstein is the lawful son of heretofore citizen Jacob Augenstein and his wife, was born on the 17 day of April, 1782, and was baptised on the day following. In the year, 1804, on the 28th day of February he was married to Christiana Meier the lawful daughter of the heretofore citizen, Michael Meier and his wife, dorthea Meier, nee Epel. From this union were born the following children.

Elmondingen, July 26, 1832.
The original parchment, which was brought along with the family from Baden, was in the possession one La'Monte Sayler, a relative of George Martin Eyestone, formerly of Leavenworth, Kansas, now deceased.
