Hey you are so right. I remember when I was younger African American boy coming to see my grandmother (Mariah Exum Knight)in edgecombe county, she told me I just passed my kin folks on the street to her house. She said they just left her house. I told her I did not see any black people on the road. She said right because they were our white family members from either Alabama or Mississippi she said and they have given her the family tree. I know that my great grandfather name is Richard Exum. A lot of the Exums are still near the Edgecombe County, NC area. Some of us are now in Detroit, Michigan, Maryland, D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and more. We are everywhere but I think our home station are the North Carolina, Virgina, and South Carolina. Help me out please with any information on the Exum family ancestors. Thanks
