David...glad you are working with Lana. She is great. Do you have documentation that Sandusky was born in Lawrence Ohio? I saw that info in family trees. As you say, Joseph's lineage is easy to trace not so
much with Mary Levering. I have been struggling with that for a couple of
years. I have her death certificate that states her father was John Levering. I found a John Levering (Levring) in the 1840 census in Lawrence co Ohio. I was wondering if Sandusky might he a Levering adopted by Joseph Exline or a child from a first marriage of Mary that I haven't discovered yet. One of those wonderful mysteries that we get to research!
