REUNION NEWS 2008 DATE: ...Saturday, June 28, 2008 TIME: ...Noon PLACE: ...Bolmer Field, Youctangee Park, Chillicothe, Ohio http://www.bright.net/~cosenza/yoctangee.htm Check it out here! This shelter has plenty of picnic tables (the web site states 5 but it has close to 3 times that many), electricity and a small grill. The public pool is across the street with rest room facilities (although the restrooms are on the far side of the pool and it is a long walk). There is a port a potty close by that we can use. None of the shelter houses have running water so we will need to bring our own water for washing up and drinking. There is plenty of open space for horse shoes and other games but no playground equipment for the smaller children. For out of towners that want to camp you might want to check out this site: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/787/default.aspx There are also some nice B & B?s, Hotels and Motels?.just do a goggle search. Remember Pam is the Secretary/Treasurer??any one who wants to donate to help defray expenses please contact her directly through email or a PM. Contact Wanda if you would like to help by planning an activity for the kids. Also contact Wanda if you are an ?Adam? or a ?John? and would be willing to do a presentation on your branch of the tree. Wanda usually does a presentation on the ?George? branch BUT if you are a George and would like to take this over for 2008 please contact her. She would be MORE THAN WILLING to pass this on to you. Keep an eye out for something to bring for the Silent Auction. This is always a fun event?.things that have sold well in the past are Crystal items, Candles and Candle Holders, Stationery, Baby items such as blankets and bibs, Kitchen items such as dish towel sets. Use your imagination?..keep an eye out now?..you never know what unusual or useful item you might happen to run across! Directions to our shelter???. if you are going west on Water Street turn R on Youctangee Parkway turn R on Mill Street (at the YMCA) turn L on Enderlin Circle you will see the shelter on the left and the pool on the right. Hope to see you there! The duck pond is within walking distance.......something the little ones might enjoy! But it is far enough away and across the street so not to worry........
