Hi,

I am very interested in your William Stanley:

I have a Thomas Stanley, who was born March 23, 1790 in Virgina. His supposed parents were a William Stanley, born in England, and Margaret Exline born in Holland.

I am also interested in a Jedediah Stanley, both Jedediah, and Thomas came to Sangamon County, IL.

Here is Jedediah in the 1850 Census, Notice He was born in New Hampshire. . . .He was also 80 years old making his birthdate around 1770. So, Jedediah was at least years older than Thomas.

4. 1850 United States Census - Sangamon County, IL

Dwelling/Family: 126/132
Hickox, Horace 54 M Miller 2,800 CT
Hickox, Eliza 50 F NY
Hickox, Volney 14 M NY X
Hickox, Lilia 12 F IL X
Stanley, Jedediah 80 M NH
Gram, Katherine 19 F Germany

Of course I am wondering if Jedediah Stanley is related Thomas Stanley.

Thomas settled in Sangamon County on about 1829 He was in the 1830 Census for Sangamon County.

Thomas w/family in Sangamon Co., IL 1830 Census; In home 1boy 0-5;1boy10-15;1boy15-20; 1boy 40-50; 1girl 0-5; 1girl 5-10; 1girl 10-15; 1girl 15-20; 1girl 40-50; p. 374 (90) 7th Line from bot.

Thomas Stanley married Elizabeth Centre, I think possibly in Ohio. . .that is where one of there daughters Currency Stanley was born on April 08, 1824 in Clark County, Ohio.

Does this Jedidiah Stanley, or Thomas Stanley sound familiar to Anyone out there?

Or William and Margret Exline Stanley?

Thanks for the help.
