I believe that we are likely cousins of some sort. I just stumlbed upon this post doing a Google search for some of deceased father's children's books. My father, Kelly Oechsli was born in Butte, Montana in 1918 and moved to Seattle, Washington in 1924. I believe that his ancestors migrated from Switzerland in the ~ 1850's. My grandfather was named Orden Oechsli and his family originally hailed from Missouri (via Ohio). My mother, who is still alive (Helen Oechsli) likely knows the name of a few other Oechsli's of earlier generations (i.e., Orden' father and grandfather). After serving in the 10th Mountain Division during WWII, Kelly moved to New York and had a career as a commercial artist. I live in CT., have a brother Matt who lives in North Carolina, a sister Kate in Georgia and a sister Eileen in Mass. I noticed that your original post was about 3 years ago, so hopefully my response still reaches you. Would love to learn more about the Oechsli/Exley lineage.
