Jude Exley is the grandfather of my friend (non computer person). I have been able to trace back for her from Jude to Samuel Exley who was born at Pudsey on the 3rd April 1937 who later moved to Doncaster. Samuel's father was Matthew Exley who was born in 1800 at Pudsey and his parents were John and Ann Exley. I have been unable to trace any further back. My friends father was William James Exley who moved to London due to lack of work in the Caterham area, he became a steam train driver. Jude Exley became a bricklayer when he was no longer in the army. His wife Cecily, was known as Cissy according to my friend. She would love to know more details about her grandmothers side of the family.
Lesley on behalf of my fiend who was Winifred Exley before she married
