My Ewing line Robert and his brother Charles they left Coleranine, Londonderry, Ulster, Ireland between 1735-47 to USA staying with cousin Nathaniel Ewing in Cecil, Maryland then on to Bedford, Virginia with cousin James. Robert and Charles married sisters daughters of Caleb and Martha Brooks Baker. Robert married Mary, and Charles married Martha both about 1750 in Bedford, Virginia. Robert and Mary's children as I have listed are: 1. Jane Ewing 1748 married Peter Kelly. 2. John Ewing 1750-1803 Logan Ky., married Martha. 3. Sidney Ann Ewing 1753-1811 Trigg Ky married Adam Linn Jr.1771 in Norfolk Virginia (my line). 4. Martha Ewing 1754- married Captain John Mills of Botetourt VA in 1772. 5. Baker Ewing 1758 married Letitia S. Warren on 1784 in Lincoln Ky. 6. Polly Ewing 1763 married John Ewing 1761 son of George. 7. General Robert Ewing 1765-1832 Logan KY. married Jane McLean on 1787 in Adairsville, Logan, KY. 8. Reuben Ewing 1766-1823 married Frances Whitsett on 1796 in Logan, KY. 9.Urban Ewing 1767-1828 Cooper, Missouri married Mary Ewing daughter of George on 1787 in Abington, Washington, VA.10. Chathan Ewing 1770-1839 Lexington, Lafayette, Mo married Elizabeth Campbell 1766-1842 on 1790 in Logan Ky. 11. Young Ewing 1771 married 1st Winnifred Warren 1791 Lincoln Ky, married 2nd Evelina Jennings, and 3rd to Mrs. Sarah Ewing. 12. Reverend Finis Ewing 1773-1841 Lexington, Lafayette, Mo married Margaret Davidson 1774-1868 on 1793 in Davidson Tn. He was one of the original founders of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I have much information on the family. Things I have read state that the brothers and Nathaniel Ewing are cousins and the Nathaniel father was William. I need help to find there father and connections that verify that. All the children were born in Bedford VA. Charles Ewing (the brother) ca 1720-1770 and Martha Baker had 9 children: Charles, William m Anna Cattrell, Robert, Samuel, George, David, Caleb, Mary, & Martha.
