This photo appears to be the same building as the Calla House, shown in the front of the book, "Our Ewings in America, 1740-1966" by Donald Brown Ewing,1966. The author states that the house was built in 1810 by ancestors, William and Mary McNeill Ewing, who migrated from Greenbrier County, Virginia to Gallia County, Ohio. "The location was then a wilderness area in southeastern Ohio, later to become the town of Ewington, and home of many of our Ewings." This log cabin was no longer standing in 1966.
