Arbella Perkins Ewing - African American
Arbella P. Ewing, the third oldest person in the world, has died at 114, in Dallas. She was born in Freestone County 13 MAR 1894, one of 12 children. Her great-grandparents were slaves in Mississippi. She married Frank Ewing in 1915 and they moved to Dallas. They had one daughter, Claudia, who died in 1970. She is survived by a sister, Annie Lee Perkins who is 103, and a great-grandniece Ruby Perkins Williams, among others.
