Dear Ted,
Thank you for your reply. I am still gathering information on my Stoll line. I do not have the parents names for Sophie Ewert as of yet. Sophie was born in 1856. Census records say that she was born in Germany as were most of her children. She married Carl Stoll in Germany. They came to the uS about 1893. I don't have a birth date for either of them yet, but I believe that I am getting close to find some descendents that may be able to direct me. Carl & Sophie settled in Green County, WI. I found them in Jordan Township and Monroe, WI in the early 1900's. Other than their children;s names, I really do not have much information yet. I will check back with you in a few months after I order a death cretificate. If you have any advice as to where I could look for further information, I would appreciate it very much.

Regards,
Penny

Re: Sophie Ewert: I have done considerable research on the Ewert family as my grandmother was Anna EWERT, born 1870 in the Molotschna Mennonite Colony in South Russia. Her grandfather was Heinrich Ewert, born 1813, married Helena Martens in 1835. My grandmother's family immigrated to Minnesota, USA, in 1874 and married my grandfather Frank A. Cornelsen, in Marion, Kansas in 1890. Some of the Ewerts later moved to N. Dakota, and Kansas. Many of the Ewerts, including Anna my grandmother, and my grandfather emigrated to Main Centre Canada in 1906 - 1908.
Do you have Sophie Ewert's father or mother's name? I'll gladly help with more information if I can. Theodore (Ted) Cornelson.
