I am wondering if anyone has any information re: Johann Ewert. He was born in Russia, date unknown and died in Rosenthal, Chortitza Colony, Russia on Mar. 2, 1861. He had been attacked by a rabid wolf when he was working as a nightwatch man. He contracted rabies and died of it. He was apparently married to Susanna Sawatzky, b. 28 Nov. 1815 and married in 1835. I only have info on two of their children, Johann and Susanna, who both immigrated to Canada in the 1870's. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
