Sarah Ann Ewers, my wife's grandmother was born Oct. 16, 1874 near San Antonio, Bexar co., Tx to James (Jim) Ewers and Delilah Rose. James was the son of John J. and
margaret Sapp Ewers. James and Delilah were married 17 Mar. 1872 in Lavaca co., Tx. John, a brother to Sarah was 2 yrs. old on the 1880 census, Lavaca Co., Tx
Sarah married Thomas Newton Blackstock when she was 26 yrs old and Thomas's age was 64 to begin his 4th. family. Thomas and Sarah had 6 children. They were
Maudie, b. Sept 6, 1901, Lillie Mae, b. may 9, 1903
James b. 1905/06 Claude b. 09 Dec 1907, Lonnie b. 1909 and Virgie b. abt 1913.
Sarah Ann's mother (Delilah)was born in Gurnsey Co., Ohio to John Rose and Jane Sharrock. She is also my wife's grandmother on her mother's side of the family as well as her dad's side. Claude Blackstock was my wife's father.
