Hi to all
Looking for any info on Law(Lawrence)EWART,Law was born in Kirkbuton,Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England,UK,in April 1826 the son of Charles and Maryann Ewart,At the York Assizes on the 11th July 1849 he was transported to Westn Australia for being a Luddite Activator,He set sail on 30th Oct.1851.from Portland prison to Freemantle onboard the ship MARION for seven years,In the ships register it
was noted by the Ship Surgoen Fred W.le. Grand he had alias name of John it also gave his occupation has stone mason.The ship Captain Alex Bissett recorded the voyage Had taken 89 days and landed 279 convicts on Jan 30th 1852 with no recorded Deaths.His release date whould have been July 1856 but this his where I am stuck I can't find any return to the UK.Or ticket of Leave.
