Wow! I never knew there were so many Ewart's out there!! Trying to get back to my Gr. Grandfather, John Ewart. Married Margaret Russell July 4, 1862 in Paisley Chapel, Renfrow Scotland. Margaret was from Del Rye, Ayrshire, Glasgow. They came to the USA around 1868-69. He was a mining engineer and it is thought he was murdered in Colorado Jan 1, 1879. He could have come from Ireland as he was a strong Orangeman. Anyone out there find this familiar?
