DEATHS.-- On the 29th February, at BATH, Louisa Grierson, relict of the late JOHN LITT, Esq., & granddaughter of the late (Royalist) (Colonel) [James] Grierson, who was assassinated at Augusta, in Georgia, in 1781. [Louisa Grierson was the daughter of Thomas Grierson in Larbreck (died 1798)].
Notation: She was Louisa (nee Grierson) LITT, see Glasgow, Lanark-shire, Scotland Sasines dated from 1875 forward.

What I have found is a bible whose first page reads in ink " Augusta in Georgia.
[1] James Grierson married to his wife Katherine 14th May 1767.
[2] Their son James Born 9th May 1768.
[3] Thomas Born 14th November 1770, [he is buried at St. Michael's Cemetery in Dumfries, Scotland, died 1798],
[4] David Born 24th January 1773,
[5]Their daughter Katherine Born 14th March 1775, [died aged 4 1/2 years of age],
[6]Their son George Born 2nd July 1777, [died 1796, aged 19 years],
[7] Thomas Grierson my Brother Died the 30th October 1777 about 7 o'clock am, [was shot dead after surrender as per Colonel Benjamin Hawkins],
[8] Katherine My dearly Beloved Wife Died The 20th August 1778 about 11 o'clock am aged to the best of my judgement 42 years, [born c1736],
[9] Katherine My dearly beloved and Sweet little daughter Died the 7th September 1779 about half an hour past 2 o'clock in the morning. She was a pretty and most promising child - my future hope and conastant care.
[10] James Grierson, Junior Died at Augusta 10th March, 1781, [aged 12 years old],
[11] James Grierson Esq Colonel of the Militia of St Paul's parish in the province of Georgia was cruelly murdered by the Rebels in Augusta on the 7th day June 1781 two days after he surrendered in consequence of a Capitulation, [born at Larbreck Estate Farm - son of Thomas Grierson & his wife, Elizabeth EWART - brother of Robert Grierson (aka Grayson) of the Hillabees, Thomas Grierson who was shot dead by idiots and William Grierson who went back to North Britain, lived at Larbreck Estate Farm with his mother, Elizabeth Ewart from at least, 1784-1801].
