I have a Benjamin Ewan in my tree that I found in the 1850 census-ennumeration date 5 SEP 1850, Jefferson Township, Williams Co., Ohio. He is the brother to my ggGrandmother Adaline T. Ewan. According to the census image it looks like Benjamin was either age 4 or age 21 in 1850. If he was 4 his mother Edith ? would have been 46 when she had him. This is how they are all listed in the Census
David Ewan age 53 Pennsylvania
Edith Ewan age 50 Pennsylvania
Joseph Ewan age 26 Ohio
Mary Ewan age 19 Ohio
James Ewan age 18 Ohio
Susannah Ewan age 16 Ohio
Alfonso Ewan age 14 Ohio
Adaline Ewan age 12 Ohio
Benjamin Ewan age 4? Ohio
Arthur Ewan age 24 Ohio
