Wondering if anyone has come across the Lame surname while looking for Ewan. John Lame married Anne Ewan whose father was Absalon Ewan. Absalom died 1768. Absalom sold land to John Lame in Burlington County NJ in 1765. Also Nathanial Parker sold land to Levi Ewan that he had bought from heirs of Peter Lame in 1798 in Burlington County. I'm looking for the connection Between John Lame and Joseph Lame born 1766 in Burlington County .

I have a Beulah Ewan b.1793, Northampton Twp, Burlington Co., NJ. She is the youngest daughter of Absolam(Jr) and Keziah Gaskill Ewan. She has a brother Charles b. Dec. 28, 1791 same location. He died in 1861. I do know that many of the Ewan families move to Jennings Co, IN and some on to Watseka,IL. I too am researching the Ewan family. We come from the William Randolph Ewan line b. Oct 3,1822 in Whittaker Fork, Dearborn Co., IN but are having trouble finding parents for him.

Wed of this week Uncle Joe had a birthday, making eighty times he celebrated that very important event in his career. He says he is 48 years old but of late years he has been celebrating his birthday on an average of 3 times a year, and that accounts for the eighty. He says he doesn't want the impression to get out that he is 80. A big dinner at the home of W N Brown, to which 28 guest sat down, served to commmemorate the event.
