Tom, Hello! In my family groups going back to mid-1700's
in Washington Co., MD. there was no Samuel Evey/Eavey or
Avey who md. Sophia Neiswander, or a Christopher of same
name, b.1816, MD., but as all of the Evey/Aveys (sp.) in
Washington County, esp. around Beavers' Creek, were from
John Evey/Avey, b.(1727), Wash.Co., MD., wife Christina,
and many of their children and descendants married into
many German families, it's likely your Samuel was one of
them. John and Christina's son Henry Evey/Avey md. Mary
Elizabeth Metzger, children: Jacob, John, Catherine,
Susan M., and Nancy. #2 child John md. Franny/Frances
Hershey (from Swiss Hersche family in Lancaster Co.,PA.)
md. 1809 in Hagerstown, Wash. Co., MD.
I hope you can find Samuel's folks, I'm sure they must
have been connected to my Evey/Avey families somehow!
