Hi Stan,
I hope you are still checking in occasionally, or at least having replies to your posting sent to your email. I wish I had said something to you sooner. Then again, my memory is not that sharp, so I may have emailed you a year ago and have just forgotten.
Correct me if I am wrong, but from your reply to Adron Ray, it looks like we are related through Moses and Berintha. I know I tried to get in touch with him last year without success. His mention of the "Indian" label in his grandmother's bible peaked my interest, as my grandmother had told me that she was part Indian.
This is my line:
Moses Evetts b. 1804 NC (though have just heard VA so...)
m. 1843
Berintha Emerson b. 1820 KY
they had:
Mary Elizabeth Evetts b. Mar 1859 Dixon Springs, Smith Co., TN
m. 18 Apr. 1882 Dixon Springs
John Clay Dickens b. 27 Oct 1844 Smith Co., TN
(John also married Mollie's sister, Lucia F. Evetts, she died and he married Mollie)
John and Mollie had:
Myrtle Lucy Dickens b. 14 Oct 1886, she was my maternal grandmother.
If this is indeed your line as well, please let me know. I would love to share info with you. If I don't hear from you, I will try to email you directly to be sure you got this message.
