I am looking for proof that John Eves and Lydia Courter (Judge) of East Gwillimbury, Ontario, had a daughter named Priscilla born 15 Sep 1804. Does anyone out there know anything about her? I found one on the IGI, but no sources were listed and I would like some. I was also given info from Nancy McAlary that said: "I have looked through the information which I received from the Pennsylvania research and found this from "Pioneer Families of Northern Columbia County, Pennsylvania: Articles by Kenneth Yocum and Others:, Ann H. Brandt, Editor. (from The Morning Press, April 28, 1923) "John Eves and Lidia Courter had twelve children: Sarah who married Job Webb, John 3rd, who married Sara Kinsey; Peter, who married Sarah Ashton; James; Lidia; Joseph; Yettman; Jesse; Elizabeth; Mark; Nehemiah; and Priscilla. John Eves went to Canada with his family about 1800." So, between the 2 bits of information it would seem John and Lydia may have had a daughter named Priscilla, but I would like more positive proof and/or other sources that say the same thing. I am afraid it may be a mix-up with Priscilla Eves, the dau. of Samuel Eves and Tamar Kitely, who was born in 1802 in PA., but also lived in East Gwillimbury in at least some of the same time period. (Samuel was a brother to John.) That Priscilla married Joseph Watkins in PA and then came to Ontario. I believe the Priscilla Eves that was John Eves and Lydia,s dau.,(if there was one)MAY be the Priscilla that was the wife of Daniel Traviss in the East Gwillimbury 1851 census.
