Thanks Mrs. Erickson. I too have the Courtice-Everson History and Genealogies. My name is on Page 67, and I am descended from Emma Laura Everson who was orphaned in the 1850s and was raised by a family named SKINNER near Bowmanville. She married Edmund PROUT. There are some minor errors in the book, not surprisingly since it was done long before its authors had access to parish records via the Internet. If you would like an update on my branch of the family, please let me know. I would love to have your husband's direct line of descent so I can add it to my book. I have not yet transferred the Everson genealogy to my computer program, so I can't find that Everson-to-Erickson line off-hand. If you know any anecdotes about the Eversons, or any branches I can add, please send them along. Also, please give my regards to my cousin, your husband!
