Hello Linda,
While reading your posting, I was struck by your reference to your great grandfather, William B. F. Sanderlin. I wonder if you have any additional info on the Sanderlin family? I am trying to research the family of my ancestor, Sarah Ann Sanderlin (or Sanderlan),who reportedly was born in NJ, near Phila. in 1779. It is further reported that Sarah Ann's father (name unknown) owned a farm and also owned steam boats that ran on the Delaware River. When Sarah Ann was about 18, she married a Mr. Bee, against her father's wishes. They left NJ and migrated to Fayette Co., PA, settling near Brownsville.
After Mr. Bee's death, Sarah Ann married Joseph Lancaster.
If you feel that there may be a connection, I would be most pleased to hear from you. Thanks.
Larry
