I'm getting really confused with some information that I have.
My Great Grandfather was Leslie Lamar Yarborough. His father was George Everitt Yarborough. George Everitt Yarborough's parents were George W. Yarborough & Sallie Elizabeth Everitt. The dates I have for Sallie are: born 22 Sep 1846 in Alabama - died 20 Jun 1931 in Quitman, Mississippi. I have her parents as John Oscar Everitt born 12 Jul 1801 and died 23 May 1878 and Elizabeth Caroline McRae born 8 Jan 1817 and died 25 Jul 1885.
I then have the following article, but the dates don't match with the above info:
John Oscar Everitt
John Oscar Everitt's ancestry may be traced back through his father Enoch Everitt, son of John Everitt, whose father was Nathaniel III, son of Nathaniel Everitt, II, born in Chowan County, North Carolina.
This article follows John Oscar Everitt, who was born in 1779 in North Carolina, moved with his parents to Georgia in 1785 and later, about 1817 brought his own wife and children to Alabama. Around 1833/1834, John Oscar Everitt and Elizabeth Caroline McRae Everitt and their ten children moved to what is now the Langsdale community of Clarke County, Mississippi.
Their children were William Powe Everitt, Thomas Towner Everitt, John McRae Everitt, M.J. Everitt, George Jenkins Everitt, Hannah Margaret Everitt, Sarah Elizabeth Everitt, Mary Olivia Everitt, Caroline Ester Everitt and John Oscar Everitt, II. All of these children have descendants in Clarke County.
Caroline Esther Everitt's story is related under the name of Hartwell Thomas Parker, whom she married in 1872.
I hope this helps someone & in turn someone can help me.
Thanks in advance! :o)
