This info will at best be sketchy. I am researching the ancestry of John Everitt b. 25 Jan 1717 Long Island, NY, settled in Lynn Township, Lehigh County (then Northampton Co), PA. John is descended from Richard Everitt, LI, NY immigrant circa 1630's. In Hunterdon County Historical Society Library is a group of Everitt genealogy works which I searched. Samuel b. 12/12/1718 is there. My notes say he is the father of at least Abel, Samuel, Rachel. His will is noted as being in Trenton, 1203J. He and his probable brother William b. 4/11/1721 seem to be the founders of Everitt's Mill, later and up to present known as Everittstown, NJ. The work in the Hunterdon County library is somewhat sketchy, but it appears that this Samuel and William are sons or grandsons of either Samuel or John Everitt, 2 brothers and sons of Nicholas, and grandsons of Richard the immigrant. Samuel and John were born between 1670 and 1680 on LI. The will of their father Nicholas, Jamaica, Queens Co, LI, proved 26 May 1724, New York Surrogate, 10:324, says they have settled in Hopewell, NJ. I've very sorry not to have the complete details, but this is definitely the ancestry of your Samuel.
