Hi Angela, Look what I have found! 1871 Census: Scarborough, Yorkshire 9 Anboro?St. John Everitt Head 50 Hawker born March, Cambridgeshire Ann Everitt Wife 48 born Wisbeach,Cambridgeshire John Everitt Son 17 Printer's Apprentice born March, Cambs Ann Everitt Daughter 5 born Scarboro, Yorkshire RG10/4816 Folio 134 Page 18 There is a birth registered for an Eliza Ann Everitt in the March Quarter 1866 in Scarborough, Yorkshire - reference 9d-318. This is the only Everitt birth registered in Scarborough that I could find. I would guess that she was named Eliza Ann but called Ann. You can search for births, marriages and deaths in England here: http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ And you can order the certificates on line from the General Register Office: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ Safe and easy to do - I do it all the time from the US. It takes about 3 weeks to get a cert. In 1881, the family is still in Scarborough. You can find that census on the family search web site: http://www.familysearch.org/ They are indexed as Eventh. The reference is RG11/4803 Folio 152 Page 33. Ann Everitt's death is registered in March Q 1884 Scarborough under the name Everett. Here is the family in 1861:Indexed as Evenett Thornaby, Yorkshire 313 Williams St. John Everitt Head 40 Brush Dealer March, Cambs Ann Wife 39 ?, Norfolk John Son 7 March, Cambs Agnes Dau 5 March, Cambs Jane Dau 1 March, Cambs RG9/3694 Folio 98 Page 60 The births of John Jr, Agnes and Jane are all registered at N. Witchford, Cambs. See FreeBMD. Hope this all helps. I'm not related - just trying to help. Merry Christmas Pam B Notify Administrator about this message?
