celebration of Hot Springs Village 40th anniversary, the Village Genealogical Society and Akansa Chapter NSDAR are holding a genealogy workshop on Saturday, April 17, 9am-3:30 pm., at Coronado Center. This will be an all day workshop entitled “Genealogical Research on the Internet” featuring Tami Glatz. Tami lives in Dallas and is a lecturer and researcher, specializing in the use of computers and the internet for genealogical research. She belongs to the Genealogical Speakers Guild, the Lone Star chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, and the Dallas Genealogical Society.
New databases are being added everyday to the internet to aid researchers in their quest to find the answer to the question “Who were the parents?” Tami will cover four topics: Where are MY Family's Stories Online?, Finding Hidden Treasure in Online Library Websites, Using Search Engines Effectively for Genealogical Research, Have you really looked Everywhere? A survey of Internet Resources for Genealogical Research. This workshop will be a very informative seminar for those interested in internet research.
