On February 26, 2004, The African American
Genealogical Society of Northern California, Inc
(AAGSNC) is presenting "Rooted in History," an
all day conference to be held in San Francisco. Our
keynote speaker will be Dr. Tukufu Zuberi, known for
his excellent work as host of the hit PBS series
"History Detectives."

CALL FOR PAPERS: Deadline is October 31, 2004.

We need speakers who can present all aspects of
genealogy and though the target audience will be the
general public, there will be an emphasis on
introducing genealogy to people of color.

For specific information about submission
requirements, speaker's compensation and other
information, please see the "Rooted in History"

The AAGSNC ( is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization established in 1996 to conduct research
and education to uncover the histories of African
ancestored families.
