The Amelia Island Genealogical Society is Sponsoring a Beginner's Genealogy course each Saturday beginning January 10th - February 7th 2004 in Fernandina Beach, FL.
Jan. 10th, 2004 will be held at the First Coast Community Bank at 14th Street in Fernandina Beach, FL from 10am to 12 noon.
January 17th, 24th and 31st 2004 meeting will be held at the Atlantic Recreation Center at 2500 Atlantic Ave. in Fernandina Beach, FL. from 10am to 12noon. At 1:00pm on the 24th there will be a field trip to the Jacksonville Public Library.
February 7th the class plans to meet at the Family History Center at Fort Caroline Road in Jacksonville, Fl at 1:00pm.
Topics to be covered are: Forms, Pedigree Charts, Family Group REcords, proper documentation, home resources, court records, wills and deeds, census and soundex, deciphering old handwriting, genealogy programs and genealogy on the Internet.
Cost is $20 per person which includes an annual $15 membership in the Amelia Island Genealogical Society.
