I am not sure what they would do with Otto -- but if his name was Otto Evenson then Otto's dad's name was Even whatever - maybe Olson.

Then Even Olson's dad's name would be Ole whatever...

Of course many times they were named after their father SO

example my Halvor Evenson's father was Even Halvorson which mean Halvor (the young) grandfather was probably Halvor Evenson. AND they did the same thing with daughters.
But sometimes they took the name of the farm or place where they lived. OR sometimes if there were no males in the wife's family they took her last name...
