A trip to the NH State Archives in Concord, NH yesterday turned up a bit of information, some conflicting, on Daniel. His second marriage is recorded in Kingston, NH on 10 Feb 1880 to Sarah H. Davis. The record states Daniel was 68 at this time and his bride was 58. It says he was residing in Chelsea, MA and she in Groton, MA. His occupation was "Carriage trimmer." It states he was born in Keene, NH, has no birthplace for the bride. His parents are listed as Ephraim Eveleth, b. Chelsea, MA and Diana Darling, b. Groton, MA. The bride's parents were Daniel Lakin, no birthplace given and Hannah Woodman, b. Durham, NH. They were married by Rev. W.H. Ryder of Malden, MA. This was the 2nd marriage for each of them. A second card records the same data except that the bride's name is given as Sarah W. Davis and the birthplaces of the parents isn't given on this 2nd card.
There was also a death record for Sarah W. Eveleth. She died in Kingston, NH on 4 Jul 1898. This gives her place of birth as Durham, NH and lists her as a widow at the time of death. She died of "Senile Debility and Bronchitis." She was buried in Kingston, NH. Her parents here are listed as being Daniel Lakin and Hannah Crockett, both parents born in Durham, NH.
