Your James was born in 1752 in Ipswich, Essex Co., MA, son of James & Sarah Harris Eveleth. Sarah was the 2nd wife of James, Sr. James (b. 1752) was married three times and had 18 children in all. I don't have a record of all of them and didn't have Mary ("Polly"). (Polly was a common nickname for Mary at this time.) He served in the Revolution. He was a carpenter by trade. He married Elisabeth Low about June 1777 (int. filed in Ipswich, MA on 31 May 1777). She was buried on 20 Apr 1782 in Beverly, MA and on 22 Jul 1783 he married Elizabeth "Betsey" Williams in Beverly, MA. She d. 25 Apr 1814 in Industry, ME and on 7 June 1814 (pretty fast work!) he married Sarah Blackstone Connor in New Sharon, ME. He died 22 Jan 1834 in New Sharon, ME. I have lots more Eveleth info if you'd like it. Just e-mail me directly and I'll be happy to share what I have with you. I don't have much on Sarah Harris except that she was baptized 1 Oct 1721 in Ipswich Essex Co., MA, daughter of John & Mary Harris. She died 23 Oct 1794 in Ipswich, MA.
