I descend from the sister of EMELINE EVERETT (1822 Oxford, Butler Co., OH - ~1855). On 2 Jan 1839 in St. Joe Co., IN, EMELINE married JOHN WESLEY MALCOLM (1820-1864). They had, I believe, 7 children:
1. CHARLES M. MALCOLM (1839 MI - ?)
2. ANGELINE MALCOLM (1845-1855)
3. JOHN ALBERT MALCOLM (?)
4. ALBERT MALCOLM (~1847 - ?)
5. WHITTINGTON MALCOLM (1849-1903)
6. ELIZA ANN MALCOLM (1852- ?)
7. JOHN W.MALCOLM (1854 - ?)
The sister (my 2XG grandmother) was AMANDA MELVINA EVERTS (15 Feb 1818- 2 Apr 1890 Walnut Twp., Dallas Co., IA) who married NATHANIEL ATKINS on 20 Feb 1834 in St. Joseph Co., IN. They had, I believe, 13 children:
1. MARY ANN ATKINS (1833 IN-1907 Dallas Co., IA) Married JOHN H. HOFF (1830 OH - 1909 IA) (my 1XG grandparents). They had 10 children, including my grandfather, JOHN CASSIUS HOFF (1875-1960), who in 1904 married MABEL MINA TENNANT (1876-1963)

4. MELVINA (1841 - 1863)
5. MARION (1846 - )
6. ABIGAIL (1847 - )
7. ABIAIL (1848 - )

12. EMALINE (30 Dec 1852 - 3 Feb 1904 Warren, Marshall Co. MN). She married JAMES SEYMOUR TAYLOR (1847 - 1927 Fargo, ND)
13. MALISSA A. (1858 - )
These two women were the two daughters and only offspring of HENRY EVERETT (1792 Scipio, Livingston Co., NY - 4 Jan 1848 MI), and his wife, EXPERIENCE GREGORY (1785 Sparta, Cuyuga Co., NY - 1 Apr 1858 {or 30 Dec 1853} Berriens Co., MI). These two daughters are believed to have been the only two offspring of these two individuals.
I am less certain as to the parents of HENRY EVERETT. It was either LINUS EVARTS/EVERETT, or SAMUAL EVARTS Jr./II (9 Apr 1724 Guilford, Hew Haven Co., CT - 16 Mar 1817), married on 30 March 1758 to LEAH BISHOP (24 Nov 1739 Guilford - 13 Jun 1819 same).
EXPERIENCE GREGORY was the dtr. of JEREMY GREGORY, SR. (1741 Scotland - 1829 Sparta, NY) and one of 8 children by one of his 3 wives.
